Apple Front Row

The new iMacs with the embedded iSight camera also have a nifty piece of software called Front Row. It allows easy access to audio, video, movies, and photos. To make it work on other Macs, check out How To Install Apple’s Front Row.

Network Solutions and Firefox

I just tried to renew some domains at Network Solutions (for work, not for me) using Firefox 1.5 under OS X. All I get after logging in and making a selection is a blank screen. Great.

Verizon Speeches

WordPress 2 Released

A new version of the WordPress Blog System has been released. I’m updating my other WordPress based web sites, and am seriously considering switching to it for PlanetMike, away from the Blosxom system.

Apple iTunes Music Store 1,500 podcasts limit

The podcast categories in iTunes only show the first 1500 podcasts. So my wife’s podcast no longer shows up in the Arts and Entertainment category. Do you think Apple underestimated the popularity of podcasting?

Merging apache web server logs

The super-duper really handy mergelog program compiles just fine under OS X 10.4.2, if you remember to add a “sudo” before the “make install” command.
