Announcing WARP: WordPress Admin Reminder Plugin

I have just finished my first WordPress plugin, WARP, which stands for WordPress Admin Reminder Plugin. This plugin adds a reminder tip (in large red letters) in the top right corner of your WordPress admin pages. The text is a link to the appropriate page in the wp-admin area. Reminders include:

  • Making a backup of your database (every Friday)
  • Checking your spam for false positives (every Wednesday)
  • Other tasks that are easy to forget (every third Monday)

Hopefully this will help you keep your WordPress blog in good working order.

Complete information about WARP is on the WARP plugin page.

    Mike,

Like the plugin. I was looking at the Options area of my blog, and I see there isn’t one for this plugin.

Have you considered allowing the user to add their own reminders to themselves about specific items? Maybe it’s certain goals for blog promotion, maybe they want to check for plugin updates, etc. etc.

It would be cool to have an options menu to add and remove items that would serve as reminders.

Hi Jeff, Yes, other people have suggested being able to easily add in customized reminders. I’m hoping to be able to do that, I just need to find some time to sit down and work on it.
